I. Storyline The miniseries consists of eight chapters, each that guide you and give you tips on what to do throughout the game. Some basic guides have tips that give the player an advantage or simple walk-through on fulfilling a task or getting an achievement. Throughout all of Lorna and Pan's actions as filmed in the miniseries are also based on what the players can do in-game.

II. Characters
Lorna Risse/Lorna Risako is a young girl with long and straight turquoise hair, and dons a royal blue hat and a sky blue button shirt with royal blue long skirt. She is easily short-tempered because of those, including Pan, who criticize her actions and well-being too often. She is also easily fascinated and aroused by looks and items. She is the most involved throughout the miniseries with tasks in each episode on what the player can do in-game. Most of the time, she carries around a lute and a short wooden bat for a weapon.

Pan is a black sheep who sides with Lorna throughout the miniseries. How he came upon talking like a human is unknown. He finds his own unique strategies to fulfill tasks or doing another important thing while completing an albeit, and usually points them out near the end of each chapter for the player to use and take advantage of. He is mostly knocked around by Lorna because he criticizes and judges her actions and behavior too much.

III. Chapters
1. Get a Part-Time Job!
Lorna and Pan are broke and begin starving. They do some window shopping at Caitin's market, only to find many other Mabinogi players looking for a part-time job.

Tutorial: How to get a job!
  1. When it's time to work (because jobs are only available according to in-game time and day), go talk to the NPC.
  2. When the Travel Notebook appears, click "Jobs."
  3. Make sure you "accept" it before someone else takes it! Some jobs are very popular and competitive to get.
  4. When the Quest window appears, you have successfully obtained the job! Now close the window. You can check the quest at any time by pressing the "Q" key. You will see how much time you have left at the upper-right corner of the screen. Let's start working!
  5. When you're finished with your job, you must report back to your employer. Be careful, they'll send you back if you report back too quickly.
Pan's Pointer: Press Ctrl+K to secretly eat some food.

2. Defeat a Bear with Bare Hands!
As Pan approaches Lorna, while Lorna is hoeing down some crops, she finds that Pan has a message next to his name. Lorna is curious on how Pan gets the title.

Tips: Combat
  • When the enemy's body flashes, watch out! It means they are about to use a skill.
  • However, if you watch their movements, you can tell what skill they are using.
Tutorial: Receiving the title, "defeated a bear with bare hands"
  1. Find a bear.
  2. Get in combat with it.
  3. Attack the bear with any weapon until it falls down and a FINISH sign appears on top of it.
  4. If you finish the bear off with bare hands, you receive the title!
Pan's Pointer: The bear NEVER attacks the sheep FIRST.
Relative Tip: Don't worry, in the real game, the one that contributed the most wins the title.

3. Dungeon Adventure Part I
Lorna buys a new short sword from a blacksmith named Ferghus. She wishes to try out the sword by fighting enemies in a dungeon.

Tips: Dungeons
  • Mabinogi's dungeons change each time you enter the premises. You won't know what kind of dungeon will come out, so be ready.
  • Every dungeon has an altar. The dungeon's structure will be determined by the item you place on the altar. When two people place different items on the altar, they will not be able to meet, so be careful.
Pan advises Lorna to make a party first, so she and Pan will be transported to the same dungeon together.
  • Once you create a party, the entire party will be transported when the party leader places an item on the altar. When you are playing together, make sure you make a party first.
Relative Tip: If you place a common item on the altar, you will be more likely to run into different people.

4. Dungeon Adventure Part II
Lorna and Pan are ambushed by a horde of goblins when Lorna opens a trap box. Pan guides Lorna outside, escaping the horde. Pan goes in and tries to beat up the goblins, only to resurrect from the goddess statue and walk back into the horde. Lorna, puzzled by all this, asks Pan how he did it.

Tips: The Dungeon's Goddess Statue
  • In the dungeon, you can resurrect from the nearest goddess statue.
  • The goddess statue is also a save point, and with a bit of damage, you are able to resurrect.

Tips: Bosses

  • Golem is a boss that uses an area attack type skill.
  • Use long distance and regular attacks to catch him off guard, then use a more powerful attack like the smash attack to fight him.
Lorna, eager to win a title, finally defeats Golem. She and Pan then return to the weapon shop, only to find out that Ferghus can't repair weapons.

Pan's Pointer: Girls that kick the poor little sheep around aren't popular with guys.

5. Time to Go on a Diet!
One morning, Pan finds Lorna, only to see she had become overweight. Lorna speaks her story about her spending time with some other friends beating a bear up and sharing food around a campfire.

Tips: Camp Sharing
  • You can share food with others around a campfire.
  • Food that would count as one portion can be distributed amongst the entire group so that each person receives a half-portion.
Lorna admits that she had eaten her friends' shared food unstoppably, and blames herself, "can you believe a pretty girl like me turned into this?" Pan, concerning the phrase, "pretty girl," laughs, only to be sacked into the sky for several seconds by Lorna.

Tips: Weight
  • If you eat while you're full, you'll begin to gain weight.
  • On the other hand, if you continue to stay hungry for a long time, you begin losing weight.
Pan helps Lorna go on a diet by having her exercise regularly; he makes her beat up trees with her bare hands and eat berries.

Relative Tip: Depending on the type of food you eat, you either lose or gain weight, as well as gain stamina & intelligence.

Happy she lost all that weight, Lorna now wishes to see the man in the black robe again. Pan, hearing the word "black," agrees with the term. Lorna corrects Pan about saying "black robe," rather than "black wool." Pan, angered by Lorna's dreamy memory, charges after her, calling her a "fatso." Lorna counter-attacks Pan's charge after hearing his insult.

Lorna's Pointer: Don't eat too much at the campfire just because it's free!

6. Become a Minstre
Pan and Lorna sunbathe out in the plains. Pan then suddenly brings up the thought about Lorna's lute.

Tips: Playing an instrument
  • When you hold an instrument, you can use the instrument playing skill.
  • If you use the instrument play skill without any sheet music, you begin playing an impromptu song.
Lorna plays her instrument, but messes up badly. Throughout the evening, she practices and improves her skill. The next day, Pan composes songs for her to try and improve her skills. Although the song sounded sloppy, she plays the song perfectly, but criticizes Pan for his poor work.

Tips: Composing Songs
  • C is do, D is re, E is mi, and so on. You can use the appropriate keys to compose a song.
  • As your composing skill level goes up, you can compose longer songs.
During that night, Pan makes an insanely long score (as seen in video). The next day, he introduces it to Lorna. When the song is played, she recalls hearing the song many, many times. That song is then played in the background when a great Black Bear attacks Lorna and Pan.

Pan's Pointer: Practice in the dungeon, perform in the village!

7. Battle in the Arena!
Picaru, a cocky young warrior, challenges Lorna to a friendly battle inside the arena. After suffering a devastating loss, a furious Lorna challenges him to a rematch, with a little help from Pan.

Tips: Lightning Bolt Spell
  • The lightning attack takes only a short amount to cast, so it is used a lot to contain an opponent.
  • The lightning bolt attack can strike multiple objects simultaneously.
Lorna distracts Picaru as Pan charges up his own spell.

Tips: Defense Skill
  • If you use the Defense Skill, you can continue to move.
  • However, you will still take damage, so be careful.

Pan unleashes his fire bolt spell against Picaru, and both Lorna and Pan defeat him.

Pan's Pointer: Two is better than one.

8. With Friends
Lorna manages to earn the title "The Diligent." Proud of her title and how far she's come, Lorna's experiences(and slip-ups!) have helped her blossom into a promising young adventurer in a world with endless opportunity!

Personal Tip: Playing Mabinogi too long may harm your health. Please play responsibly and take good care of yourself as you would in your fantasy life!
