Introduction In the world of Mabinogi, character overall stat are influenced by Strength (Str), Intelligence (Int), Dexterity (Dex), Will (Will), Luck(Luck). Each influence certain aspect of your ability in the game. Although you can't choose which to raise when you level up, this is also part of the charm of the classless system of Mabinogi.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Age : Age play a huge role in the grow of character stat from leveling. Example would be that you must be 17 years old before stat gain from food apply. However, negative stat gain start after age 10. You gain 1 age every Saturday at 12:00 am in real life when you log in or change channel and after reaching 25 years of age, the display will show age as "25 Years Old(+x Years)".
Note: Detail Stat gain by age will be on other guide. (lots of information on that one)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Life: This is represent by the red bar on the screen. You lose life if you are attacked by monster/players. If the bar drop to 0, you will die and random chance of your equipment dropped. There are 3 Special stat to this:
Lost Life/Damaged: When Life become transparent red, that mean you lose that much life due to damage. However this can be slowly regenerate over time and resting your character will speed up the process. You can also heal this with potion or healing magic.
Wound/Injury: When Life become Black, that's mean you got injured by monster or skill that can inflict Wound. Wound cannot be cannot be healed except by first aid skill , first aid potion, transformation, and Slowly healing overtime. You can't slowly heal injury in dungeon unless you rest next to a campfire.
Deadly When a character receive damage that will kill him/her, there is a chance you will stay alive with life below zero instead of dying. However, the next blow of damage will definably kill you. Healing with potion or magic until the negative life become positive number is the only way to get our of Deadly status.
Note 1: You will goes into deadly state if you sustain a huge damage with a single hit when your HP is at least half of your full HP. Note 2: Life in deadly state can get as low as (-1 * your max life) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mana: Mana are use to cast magic. Can regenerate overtime, restore with magic potion, or regenerate faster with meditation skill. You can't cast spell if you don't have the require amount.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stamina: Same function as Mana, but was use by battle/life/gathering skill. It can be regenerate overtime or restore with stamina potion/food.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hunger: When stamina car's color turn black, it mean the character is hungry and eating food will restore it.Half the bar will become black when your hunger reach zero and you will start to lose weight till you look really skinny, but the worst is when you start to lose stat until you eat some food to stabilize and maintain your hunger. Food effect will only affect you after age 17 and if you eat food that fill more hunger than it will, then your character will get fat. Being fat has it pro and con.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EXP: You can earn experience point by doing quest, part time, defeat monster, etc. and when this reach 100%, you level up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LV: Your Level. Leveling up will completely restore your life, mana, stamina, and hunger. No known limit for level yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AP: Ability Point are earn from doing quest, level up, aging, etc. It is use for raising rank of your skill to make it better and/or stronger. However, is not easy to earn AP, so please be careful spending it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stats Str: Max, Min melee type damage.
- Every 10 Str will add +4 to maximum damage and +3 to minimum damage
- Accurately, Every 2.5 Str will add +1 to maximum damage and every 3 Str will add +1 to minimum damage
Int: Magic Balance, Wound rate, Success rate of learning skill from book. Dex: Balance, Long Range damage, production type skill success rate. Kit's said that it help with magic damage too.
- Every 10 Dex adds +4 to maximum damage and +2 to minimum damage.
- Every 10 Dex adds +1.0% to maximum wound rate and +0.5% to minimum wound rate.
- Accurately, Every 2.5 Dex adds +1 to maximum damage and every 3.5 Dex will add +1 to minimum damage.
Will: Critical Rate, Deadly Status Activation Rate,
- Every 10 Will adds 1.0% to Critical.
- Every 10 Will adds +2.0% to maximum wound rate and +0.5% to minimum wound rate.
Luck: Lucky Finish Rate, Critical, Extra Reward Rate.
- Every 10 Luck adds +2.0% to Critical.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Damage: Represent with Minimum ~ Maximum damage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Injury/Wound : Percentage of wound you can cause. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Critical: Chance to deal more damage, but must learn the skill "Critical Hit" first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Balance: Affect how close to the maximum damage you can deal, but Balance is capped at 80% and the damage deal are around -6%~+6%
Example: Your weapon damage is 0-100, and your balance is 50%, then you will deal around 47-53 damage since 50% of 100 is 50 and the variation of -+6% make it -3 to +3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Defense: Reduce the amount of damage. If a monster that deal 100 damage and you have 1 defense, then you receive 99 damage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Protection: Reduce the amount of damage by percentage and chance of monster critical attack you. 100 damage against a 10% protection result in 90 damage.
